Southern Shore Angling 2011 Results

Although the weather was hot, sunny with light winds the conditions were not conducive for encouraging the fish to feed last Wednesday. The presence of 2 oyster dredging boats continually going round and round close inshore to where we were fishing also I believe did not help our cause. For the first four and a quarter hours it looked as though no sizable fish at all were going to be caught but at 14:15 Martin Harris caught a 33 cm flounder and it looked as though this would be enough for victory. However shortly before the 16:00 "up lines" James Windebank caught a 29 cm flounder quickly followed by a 35 cm bass to give him a total bag of 64 cm. The bass being the longest fish also won James the optional pool of £18.
