Bottom Up
What is Bottom Up and how does it work?
Bottom Up events are activities that you, the member, organise for yourself and at least 2 other CSSC members. This can be absolutely anything you like, so long as it is legal and complies with CSSC's Code of Conduct.
Maybe a group of you fancy going out for a meal together? Perhaps a theatre trip, a day out, a concert or maybe even a holiday? These are just a few ideas to get you thinking.
Moreover, with Christmas fast approaching, perhaps you and your CSSC friends are planning a festive outing that could qualify for a Bottom Up subsidy?
Is there a minimum cost?
Yes, the event must cost each person at least £10 (excluding alcohol, which Chilterns Area will not subsidise).
How much subsidy will each person get?
Depending on the cost per person, the maximum subsidy available will be:
Cost (per member) |
Subsidy available (per member) |
| £10 - £15 |
Up to £5 |
| £16 - £30 |
Up to £10 |
| £31 - £50 |
Up to £15 |
| £51 - £70 |
Up to £20 |
| £71 and above |
Up to £25 |
Can I make a claim after the event?
NO - the claim must make it clear that you, as a CSSC member, are organising the event for other CSSC members within your party. Submitting a claim where members book their own tickets, pay for their own transport etc and simply attend the event together, will not be accepted.
How do I find out more?
To request a claim form and full details of how to apply, or to find out more about the scheme, contact Jennifer Fell via email or phone on 01494 888 451.
