South West Cricket 6's Regional and Barbados Challenge Qualifiers

On Tuesday 8 July 2008 nine teams competed for the chance to represent the South West Region at the National Event and also for the first year the winning team would also qualify to represent their Region, and CSSC UK in Barbados in 2009.

The venue was Taunton Civil Service Club and the only interruption to play was the landing of the air ambulance!  (The Taunton Club has an arrangement with the local hospital and permits the helicopter to land on the field.

It was a day enjoyed by all, the rain held off for most of the day and the final match was between Dave Ingrams' Abbey Wood Team 1 and Matt Smiths' HASSRA 'A' Team.  Abbey Wood ran out winners with 3 balls to spare.
