South West Barbados Challenge Dominoes Result

The Barbados Dominoes Qualifier Competition was played at the Bristol Civil Service club on the 23 October 2008.

One of the pairs due to compete at the last minute had to withdraw, leaving three pairs competing for the two team places available.

Team 1: Andy Bennett - Cheltenham and Whips Moore - Chepstow
Team 2: Mike Thomas and Neil Burch - Cheltenham
Team 3: Mark Edwards and Andy Porter - Plymouth

The competition was close. Team 3 were twice involved in a blocked game where at the finish both teams had exactly the same number of points.

The final result saw Team 2 the winner with 3 wins to their credit. In the playoff Team 1 just beat Team 3 for second place.

An enjoyable evening all the games played in a good spirit – mines a gin and tonic – but for the blocked games it could have been an entirely different result.
