CSSC Rounders Team Report - Barbados 2009rounders team

I would like to say that winning the rounders in Barbados was not just a great experiences, it's been one of the best experiences I've had! I believe I am saying this for all of my team. I feel a little jealous that we are not going again in 2010 and, to the team that won the Barbados Challenge this year, YOU will have a great time.

This event is one of the best events that CSSC has done; transport, accommodation, trips and the sport were all organized for us. All we had to do was get out of bed, put sun block on and win! Not a lot to ask really.

We may have won the rounders, but the Barbados team were close behind. A little guidance and organization in the field and they would have won. The rounders was played with good sport and the Barbados team's skills in catching, throwing, batting, were first-class, so next year's team will have to work hard to ensure they win.

This trip was also made better because mates and work colleges were also there. We made new friends from different CSSC areas as well, who we will keep in touch with.

Team Comments

"I had the best time, totally different from anything I have ever been on. The food was great, people were friendly & everything was well organised." Rachel Cain

"Staying a second week was well worth it, if just to chill out. But the buzz around the place in the first week with everyone there was amazing." Andy Trott

"I would not be exaggerating to say that it was one of the best experiences of coordinated team sport we have been fortunate enough to have participated in and can only give credit to the way in which it was organised and executed by the CSSC team. The Bajans must be the most chilled out, friendly bunch of people I have met, which added to the special atmosphere of the tour." Mark Barnes

"Awesome and what a fantastic experience!'' Dan Meakin

"A once in a life time experience not to be missed! A well balanced week of sport and socialising. I felt a week was plenty of time to gain everything from Barbados. One thing to remember - the pace of life in Barbados is very laid back." Michelle Edwards
