Results of South West Darts Tournament
The South West Dart tournament was played on Saturday 11 June at the Exeter civil Service Club.
The welcome and hospitality we received from the club was much appreciated and my thanks must go to Wendy Clarkson secretary of the club who made sure everything was in place for the tournament.
The standard of darts was very good and in total there were 7 180’s hit. These were hit by Simon Hards (2), Adrian Carp (2), Kev Mansell, John Goves and Malcolm Johns.
The team event was a close encounter with Plymouth represented by Glyn Wells, John Goves and Malcolm Johns eventually edging out last years winners of the South West tournament, Taunton.
The singles event was played on a round robin basis and there were some really good and exciting games. The standard was good and some very even and close games contested throughout the afternoon. The final was contested by Adrian Carp and Neil Vickery both from Taunton and this produced a win for Neil Vickery by 3 legs.
