Love is in the air, well not quite just shuttle cocks, table tennis balls and volleyballs, the indoor sports day took place at the Peak sports centre in Stirling on the 14th February. The event was not as well attended as we had hoped overall but still everyone that attended had a ball.
The table tennis was a Celtic games qualifying event and had attracted the biggest entry for a few years. The games were frantic and fast, with all players playing at a good standard. the eventual winner Kevin Moir from Aberdeen and the runner up Clive Charters from MOD Coulport will be representing Scotland at the Celtic Games the will both be joined at the games by Fiona Kinloch who will be representing the women.
Only 4 Guys and Girls were entered for this event but it was very competitive, the final results will be posted on the website when once they are received.
At the end of the first two sports the competitors all got together and played some volleyball , we have been trying to build volleyball in Scotland over the last few years and we have a further few events this year so have a look at the website for forthcoming events.
