Ladies' Triples Bowls Competition
| Ladies' Civil Service Bowling Competition. Fifteen ladies participated in the Ladies' Triples Competition, which was held on Sunday 7 June 2009 at Shawlands Bowling Club, south side of Glasgow. This lovely, sunny afternoon started with the usual, traditionally Scottish "roll & sausage meet and greet". The competition attracted new members who had great fun in learning to play bowls and found that it wasn't so difficult after all. The games were played as a round robin which enabled participants to challenge three teams. We were privileged to have with us Linda Boden (Mixed Bowls Organiser for Scotland) who travelled all the way from Falkirk. After the competition, we had a splendid buffet, which was organised by our volunteers. The volunteers' efforts were very much appreciated by all on the day.
