The Y-Not-Stables have been racing Standard bred horses for some 10 years now and are enjoying great success.

We have a stable of 3 horses at the moment with the "Star" being a horse called Y-Not-Me, who has won 3 major handicaps in his 6 years of racing.

We also have Y-Not-U (3 year old) maiden & BJ's Georgie (3year) maiden. Both these horses are still learning the game and will be allowed time to mature.

Y-Not-Me has won the biggest honour in UK Harness Racing, winning the Famous Musselburgh Pace in 2006, where he beat the top 72 horses in the UK & Ireland (over 1m 3f 2 races on the same day). This has been described as the toughest race in the world.

He also has had the honour of winning the biggest race in the Scottish Calendar twice: "Bellsfield, Falkirk" in 2005 & 2008. Again this was over 2 races of a 1m quarter on the same day.

Through this, he was invited to race in the William Hill Series at Wolverhampton Race course. Sky Channel 415 covered this over three weeks, which included the top 36 horses in 2008 by invitation only.

His efforts led to him being the only Scottish horse in the final where he gave a gallant effort from a very hard draw before going down in the last furlong to an extremely good field of horses. (No disgrace.)

He has now become the only Grade 12 horse in Scotland, which is the biggest Handicap mark within the sport. A feat in itself.

Due to this fact, we will now have to travel to England & Wales to compete in a series of races that are covered by Sky TV. The series has 8 heats and a Final in September 2009 at Tir-Prince, Rhyl, North Wales. We hope to race in half of these, which should provide us with enough to reach the Final.

This sport has been described as the "Best kept secret in Sport" but, due to the Thoroughbred world seeing us as a threat, they have kept us quiet until now with all the major bookmakers now sitting up & taking notice.
