Scottish Civil Service Flying Club

These days the Government don’t issue you with your own Spitfire and the Scottish weather may mean that some of the experiences above remain a romantic thought.

But at least no one is shooting at you and you can experience some of the romance of flying along with the superb Scottish scenery on a flight provided through the SCSFC.

The SCSFC is reforming and offers the opportunity to fly with a club member and pilot on a shared cost basis from Cumbernauld and from Leuchars. We hope of course that you will be bitten by the bug to carry on learning and get your own pilot licence. Hence the offer comes with a health warning regarding the possibility of addiction! Your pilot will no doubt share their own experiences with you to this end.

So make contact and enjoy a flight with another club member as an ideal introduction to a very satisfying hobby that can take you to interesting places, provide interesting personal development and even lead to a great career.

We would like to hear from you if you are already flying and are interested to join. The Club is a non profit social organisation set up to promote and provide economical flying for its’ membership.

The club is open to members with suitable backgrounds, typically government and government associated employees, ex employees and others.
