Mens Snooker Competition Results!

The men's snooker Competition was run on a knockout basis using the double eliminator format which has proved to be popular.

This year, players also had the option of an Aberdeen Cup run on a league basis for those who did not reach the final of the main competition.

The Scottish competition resulted in Harry Brebner playing Jim Meikle in the final. Frames were close with 3 frames decided on the black. Harry won the final frame on the black after coming from behind with a difficult clearance of the colours. Final score was 3 - 2.

In the second qualifier competition, Jim Meikle beat Bill Watson 2-0 in the final.

The Aberdeen Cup was won by Gary Jappy who recently rejoined CSSC in order to compete. Gary produced some fine clearances in his winning frames.

With the options available, everyone enjoyed the opportunity to play a number of different players. We now intend to run a 6 ball snooker competition in the autumn which, being a quicker format will hopefully bring in new players. This will be run as part of our annual interdepartmental competition week.
