Glasgow Area CSSC Ladies Bowls

At the ladies bowling meetings CSSC members meet and play other bowlers within the Glasgow Area in a local Bowling club. This is an opportunity for members and ex-members of departments to keep in touch and play bowls. For new members to learn to play bowls as no bowling experience is necessary and the ability to play bowls is a bonus.

We have social events in February - March each year, when we go see a popular show or play indoor bowls and in August - September a coach outing to a bowling club. The food is very good and the company even better.

8 May - 2 Bowls Pairs Competition at 11.30am at Shawlands Bowling Club

29 May - Scottish Regional Triples Competition at 10.00am at Shawlands Bowling Club, closing date for entries 22 May, Cost £15 per team (includes hot roll on arrival, a buffet lunch and prizes) Team of 3 ladies, a minimum of two CSSC full members and one lady may be a non member.

3 July - Singles Competition 10.30am at Kingston Bowling Club.

24 July - Balloted Pairs Competition 10.30 at Kingston Bowling Club.

7 August - Balloted Triples Competition 10.30am at Kingston Bowling Club.

August - Coach outing - Competitions and prizes.

4 September - End of season Fun Game and Trophy ceremony 11.30am at Shawlands Bowling Club

14 September - Glasgow Area Mixed Bowls Com[Competition 10.30am at Shawlands Bowling Club. Closing date for entries 7 September, cost £16 per team includes light buffet and prizes. Teams one man and one lady, one member of the team must be a full CSSC member.
