Sports Festival

FLY FISHING COMPETITION

This competition will count towards the overall Aberdeen Area Sports Championship for 2011.

All players, who can be male or female, must be CSSC members and must work for or be officially attached to the Department or Organisation they represent.

As part of the Festival the Freshwater Angling Section will be organising a fly fishing competition at Lochter Fishery, nr Old Meldrum, on Saturday 15th October 2011 from 9am to 1pm. Departments are invited to submit a team or teams of two anglers. If unable to find two anglers, individuals will still be able to represent their Department.

Results will be decided by the number of fish caught, not weight, by each team.

Entry is free - just turn up for a good days fishing.

Lochter has bar and restaurant facilities, shop, archery, clay pigeon shooting, go kart racing etc so you could make a family day of it. If participants wish to avail themselves of the other facilities, they should contact the fishery direct in advance by phoning 01651 872000.

Novices and non anglers are particularly encouraged to enter, as tackle is available plus a limited amount of tuition.
