Who will I be responsible to?
  • The Regional Management Board
  • The CSSC Management Board
Who will I be responsible for? Not applicable
Current tasks include: The role of President is primarily an ambassadorial role however the post is a fully constituent part of the NW Region Management Board and carries voting rights. The incumbent will be expected to:
  • Represent CSSC and NW Region particularly at National and Regional events
  • Support and encourage CSSC volunteers
  • Work with Regional Management Board and BDE (Business Development Executive) towards development of CSSC's strategic aims and objectives and relevant action plans.
  • Attend Regional events as agreed by the Regional Management Board to present prizes & awards and thank & support Regional Organisers and participants
  • Consult CSSC Head Office or other organisations on issues raised by the Regional Management Board
  • Provide assistance & advice
  • The President is only required to attend occasional Regional meetings as necessary
How much time will I need to give? Up to 14 days a year
What else can you tell me about the role? As the President it is essential you are an objective and confident leader, speaker and figurehead. You will also be the supporting officer to members of the Regional Management Board therefore it will be useful for you to have
  •  a broad understanding of the structure, principles and general practices of CSSC
  •  experience of chairing business gatherings
  •  experience of speaking in public and / or to a wide and varied audience
  •  the ability to give recognition and support through the development and encouragement of a team ethos
  •  your own transport in order to travel to events anywhere within the NW Region
  •  Free time and flexibility to attend events during the normal working day some of which may start very early or finish very late
What support is available to the President Support is available from CSSC's Volunteer Development Manager
Expenses  

The NW Regional Management Board will reimburse agreed out of pocket expenses
