Profile on Dave Wyatt
1. When did you get involved with CSSC Sports & Leisure?
I joined in 1972 but did not take advantage of any benefits (at all) until 1999 when, with the help of the then BDE Alison Brown, I arranged the first Regional Time Trial Championship.
2. What voluntary work do you do? (this will be your cycling events, any regional info and national info)
In addition to the Regional Time Trial Championship, I have organised the Regional Day of Cycling at Preston Sports Arena (in June) and following on the success of that I have organised the National Day of Cycling (also at Preston, in July). Over the last 4 or 5 years, I have also organised taster sessions at the Manchester Velodrome.
3. Do you do any other voluntary work other than sports?
I am a committee member on Manchester AA. Away from CSSC, I help out with the 3 football teams that my lads - aged 9, 14 and 15 - play for. With work and everything else, there is not a lot of time left for anything else!
4. This last bit is your desert island disc bit, what record/album would you take with you on a desert island?
I'm greedy, I would have to have the complete Beatles collection and just to break things up a bit, I'd also bring along some Bad Company!
