Ashley Robertson
Awarded the North West Region Presidents award at the 2011 conference
About 6 or 7 years ago when the Merseyside Area were looking for new organisers / volunteers, Ashley stepped forward along with a few others.
Over the years he has become one of the main volunteers and characters, not only on the area committee but also on the regional committee.
He plays a key role within the Angling community, and organisers both the Sea Boat and Game angling events on behalf of the North West CSSC, as well as inducting a new organiser to do a similar event for the Merseyside Area.
He is keen to promote CSSC and recruits as many of his colleagues at every possible opportunity.
In more recent years as the Region looks to work closer with it departmental associations, Ashley was at the forefront, and was responsible for bringing us the ‘Dragon Boat’ joint venture event between CSSC and HASRRA, which over the last 2 years has proved very successful.
He was also the first to work smarter by combining the fishing events he organised for HASSRA and CSSC, meaning members don’t have to take as much leave, and the events becoming very cost effective.
There are lots of other things could be said about Ashley, but as we’ve run out of nice things to say, we’ll stop there.
