It's been a hard job to replace, but some one had to do it. John Hogg, who has previous experience volunteering with the Merseyside Area, is now taking on the challenge to work with the whole North West Region.
Background of John's involvement with CSSC.
'I joined the Civil Service back in 1984 and virtually from day one I have been involved with the sports and social activities within my department. Following the closure of the Merseyside clubhouse I joined the Area's committee, and for the last 5 years I have been an active member of the Merseyside Area Association. This has seen a move from the more traditional sporting activities to more leisure type activities. It was excellent to be involved in such an active Area and also a well focused committee who have never lost sight that we are there for the members. As a result I have gained many skills which, I hope will help me over the coming years as your representative. I hope to take the experiences gained with the Merseyside Area to the other Area's whilst gaining new experiences from these new Area Associations.
I also look forward to building on the already strong working relationships between Areas/Regions and Head Office all of which will inevitably benefit the member.
I am based in Mersey House, which is located in Liverpool's City Centre, but I will be travelling around the Region visiting the different areas and departments.
