Event Description

The last Pub Outing for this year has been arranged for Friday 14th November 2008. A 55 seater coach will leave the Benton Park View site’s main gate on Benton Park Road at 12.00 midday and will also pick up at Newcastle Central Station at around 12.15pm.
As this will be a winter tour there will be no country pubs. Indeed it is a 'no frills' tour focusing on excellent real ale………………. So read on!
The itinery will include a converted corn mill, plus an award winning pub, and just for good measure two breweries. There will be no free drinks but the beer will be competitively priced. Our first visit will be a brewery with a unique history. Once everyone is served the Brewer will give a short talk.
After an hour sampling some pristine products, the coach will take us to the next location, an award winning pub well renowned for the quality and variation of ales, where we will eat and that duration will be for 2 hours. Then, the Coach will take us to the next brewery where will have an hour to sample what it has on tap. Then we're off to the last watering hole before returning to the Central Station between 7.15 - 7.30pm.
These venues are in a different area to previous outings and have been carefully selected to reflect the time of year. As usual, if you like real ales, you won't be disappointed.
For CSSC members the subsidised cost of the coach and the buffet is £7.10 (cost for guests will be £12.10, applications may be considered after Members Closing Date) PLEASE NOTE, THE COST OF DRINKS ON THE DAY IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.

The current trend for these trips is that the coach is 95% full after 10 days. Seats will be allocated strictly on first come first served basis.
