Seafield Caravan Launch
"Excellent - the best caravan we have stayed in" ". . . more like a holiday cottage than a caravan". These were just two of the many comments from CSSC member Janice Swainston, pictured to the right receiving a bottle of champagne from Peter Lawson CSSC Tyne, Wear & Northumberland (TWN) Chairman.
Janice, along with her family, were the very first people to occupy our brand new caravan situated at the award winning Seafield Caravan Park at Seahouses on the beautiful Northumberland coast overlooking the Farne Islands.
Janice said that she found Seafield Caravan Park "very quiet and peaceful and just the place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city and town life". The Park has excellent facilities for all the family including a children's playground and playing field. The luxurious Ocean Club on site is bang up to date and offers the latest gym, swimming pool, sauna, spa & beauty treatments - ideal if you want to be pampered. Check the facilities out on Seafield's website at www.seafieldpark.co.uk
For those who like a good walk, follow in Janice's footsteps and take the six mile round trip from the caravan park to the beautiful coastal village of Bamburgh - where you can visit the Grace Darling museum and see the heroine's tomb at the local church. Walking along the beach to Bamburgh, Janice and her mother wearing their shoes, crossed an outlet of water whilst their teenage family members chose a longer route to avoid getting their designer shoes wet. "Wow" was how Janice described the magnificent Bamburgh Castle - one of the largest castles she has visited - with spectacular views from every angle and "a reasonable entry fee of £20 for a family of four".
Janice said, "I have stayed in many caravans over the years . . . and the CSSC's has definitely been the most luxurious of caravans and certainly the best value for money. I would certainly recommend this location for both families and couples and will book it again in the future".
CSSC TWN's 2010 Willerby Aspen Elegance is a top of the range caravan - it has two bedrooms (one en suite) and can sleep up to six people. Full week bookings (Friday to Friday) are now being taken with TWN's prices (for up to four in the party) £100 less than Seafield's own prices for the few rental caravan they have for hire (this is primarily a site for privately owned caravans) - with even bigger savings if the party includes one or two more!
If you would like to book, refer to the availability spreadsheet here and e-mail Joanne Lockey at joanne.lockey@rpa.gsi.gov.uk with your preferred week(s). David will then email you back advising the booking arrangements.
