CSSC Teams up with Beamish

For 2010 , CSSC Tyne, Wear & Northumberland Area has negotiated a renewal of the discount for CSSC nationally on entry prices for members to the world renowned, award winning, Beamish Open Air Museum.

Beamish is unique - it's no ordinary museum, but a vast, living, working and continually evolving experience of life as it was in the Great North in the early 1800s and 1900s. And it's a great day out for people of all ages and interests!

In April, May, June, September and October 2010, with the exception of Bank Holiday weekends (including Bank Holiday Mondays), members presenting their CSSC membership card and civil service security ID pass will be entitled to the following special prices:

Adults (normal standard summer entry £16) CSSC price: £11

Child (5 - 16 years, standard summer entry £10) CSSC price: £6

(Children under 5 are always admitted free of charge)

Sixty Plus (normal standard summer entry £12.50) CSSC price: £10

Each member - and up to a further 3 people in their party - will be entitled to these special rates!!!

Retired and Associate members without civil service ID passes will need, in addition to their membership card, some other form of ID that includes their photograph, e.g. passport, photo driving license or bus pass.

The above offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offer or concession.

And there's more for CSSC TWN members!!! Beamish has introduced a new offer which gives you a choice to make. Rather than opting for the reduced price of £11, members can choose to pay the full admission price of £16 and upgrade to a Beamish Unlimited Pass which will entitle them to free entry to the museum for a year! CSSC TWN will provide a refund of £7 for this! And any TWN member who chooses to become a 'Friend of Beamish' will also be entitled to a refund against that cost.
