The combined Scratch and Handicap competition was played over 18 holes in the medal format, a field of 33 competitors started out at 13:15. With high hopes of qualifying for the 2011 Civil Service Golf Festival to be held in September. The difficulty of the course was soon apparent when the scores came in and only two golfers had managed to score below their current club handicap.

The regions top Civil Service golfer of recent years has been Andrew Minnikin from Legal Services. Yet again Andrew led the field recording six birdies on his way to a very impressive gross score of 68, two under par.
