York and Harrogate Weekend Break

Saturday 17th March 2012

The fantastic value for money weekend break includes visits to the attractive town of Harrogate and the ancient city of York. Both are lovely to explore any time of year. With the added bonus of a 99p bar (8-10pm) on selected soft drinks, draught beers, and house wines/spirits – just to help your money go that little bit further!

The trip includes
Return coach travel from either Nottingham Broadmarsh bus station (7:30 pick up) or Chalfont Drive (8:00 pick up) subject to minor change if necessary.
1 Night dinner, bed and breakfast
Visit to Harrogate
Visit to York

Day 1
Drive to the spa town of Harrogate, free time to explore the parks, gardens, shopping centres or have tea in the famous “Betty’s Tearooms” or failing that the pub! Back on the coach late afternoon, to be driven to our hotel to check in and have an evening meal.
The hotel is “The Quality Hotels Leeds Selby” this is set amid parkland on the outskirts of Leeds and offers a bar, restaurant, sauna and pool. The en-suite bedrooms have a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities.

Day 2
After breakfast we visit the historic town of York, home to the Jorvik Viking Museum, National Railway Museum, and the magnificent Minster with “The Shambles” and it’s half timbered houses lining little alleyways, now shops and attractions for tourists. Plenty of time to explore before we return home.

Price for contributing CSSC Members is just £37 per person based on 2 people sharing a double or twin room. (Non members and guests £47)
