London Ambassadors' Subsidy
As you know, CSSC is supporting all those members who have been selected to volunteer at the London 2012 Olympic Games. In addition to this, CSSC London Region is also supporting members who attend any selection event to become a 2012 Olympics Volunteer Ambassador.
These volunteers will be needed at 35 locations across the capital - at airports, station concourses, tourist attractions and near Games venues - and will provide a personalised, passionate and knowledgeable visitor welcome. For these selection events, travelling expenses may be claimed as follows:
Driver - 50% of costs up to one times the current full annual CSSC subscription. The CSSC subscription year runs from Jan – Dec and the rate during 2011 will be £42pa. This means that during 2011 you may claim up to £42 per event e.g. if your travelling expenses are £40 you may claim £20 but if they are £100 you may only claim £42.
Members using public transport to travel to an event - 50% of the cost of a train, tube or coach fare up to one times the current full annual CSSC subscription.
