Event Description CSSC – Heathrow Area is organising a coach trip to Reims, France at the end of August.
Pick-up will be early morning on 29 August from Heathrow and return will be on 31 Aug (late evening).
This trip is also available to those outside Heathrow Area. Those wishing to go must make their own way to Custom House, Heathrow to meet the coach.
Itinerary is as below:-
Day One – Departure from Custom House, Heathrow (time to be notified) for the journey to Folkestone for your tunnel crossing to Calais. During the journey from Calais, we will make a short break in Arras. Arras is one of the prettiest towns in Northern France and has recently opened Wellington Quarries, a massive system of tunnels created during World War One. There is a small entrance fee, should you wish to visit, or spend your time exploring through the town. From Arras, we will make our way to Reims, arriving at our Hotel in the evening.
Day Two – We will drive through the Champagne region from Reims to Epernay with a tasting at the House of Moet ET Chardon. There will be some free time to explore Reims at your leisure and visit the Cathedral, Museum, explore the sights, restaurants and bars before returning to Reims to your hotel.
Day Three – We will sadly have to depart and say ‘Au Revoir’ to Reims. We will be making a stop at Dunkerque and Cite Europe before departing Calais for the tunnel crossing to Folkestone and continue our journey to Heathrow, arriving late evening.(Time to be notified)
Price is only £159 p.p. for CSSC members, based on two passengers sharing a twin room. Proof of membership will be required.
Single room supplement is £55.
Non members are most welcome but will have to pay the full price of £259. (Any non-members wishing to join, in order to qualify for subsidy/discounts, may do so by logging on to the website at www.cssc.co.uk or by telephoning the Head Office on 01494 888444. Kindly ensure that the membership team allocate you to the Heathrow Area Association (if applicable).

Insurance is from £29.95 p.p. for passengers up to 66 years of age by the date of booking and £39.95 aged 70 years. You may decide to go and book your own insurance.
A deposit payment of £80 per person is required to confirm your booking by the 26 June. Balance of payment to be made by 24 July.
