Theatre Booking Subsidy
Bury Theatre Royal, Ipswich Regent, Colchester Headgate, Norwich Theatre Royal, Felixstowe Spa Pavilion, Ipswich New Wolsey, Ipswich Corn Exchange Theatre (not cinema), Cambridge Corn Exchange and Arts Theatres, Sudbury Quay Theatre, The Fat Club Comedy Club (Corn Exchange, BSE) and Haverhill Arts Theatre
Members wishing to book tickets for these theatres may, on production of a photocopy of the ticket, apply for a refund of up to 50% of the cost of your ticket (up to £5 max) per attending member. This applies to all shows.

National Trust
Disappointed that National Trust Stopped Corporate Membership?
It was unfortunate that the National Trust withdrew their corporate membership scheme as it was one of the most popular offers for many members. Suffolk CSSC recognised this and so, at their last meeting, agreed to give £10 back to any member who takes out a personal membership of the National Trust.
Please note that claims can only be accepted for membership taken out after 1.1.10 and retrospective claims will not be allowed.

Historic Houses Association
The Area Association has Corporate Membership. Members are able to borrow a number of cards – enabling free entry to nearly 300 HHA properties open to the public.

Children's Football/Sports Camps
Not sure what to do with the children during the school holidays. Send them on an organised football/cricket/golf course and get a subsidy from the CSSC. Members can claim back £5 per child per course. Claims can be made by post to:

Suffolk Public Services Sports and Social Club, Civic Drive, Ipswich
CSSC members receive a £5.00 subsidy off the £20.00 annual membership fee. The club opposite New Wolsey Theatre is open every lunchtime and evening on weekdays and all day Saturday. Facilities includes a well stocked bar, which serves hot and cold food, a full sized snooker table, two pool tables, darts and table tennis. (website www.suffolkstaffclub.co.uk).

Salsa Lessons - Moreton Hall Community Centre, Bury St Edmunds and Carnegie Room, Thetford
CSSC members get £1.00 off the price of salsa classes (£6.00) at Salsa Nights at Moreton Hall Community Centre, Bury St. Edmunds and Carnegie Room, Thetford. The classes at Moreton Hall are on Tuesdays: Beginners - 7.30pm to 8.30pm, Intermediates - 8.30pm to 9.30pm. Mixed Classes - 9.30pm to 10.00pm. Cambridge Card - FREE discount / loyalty card for Cambridge and surrounding area
The new Cambridge Card (previously Local Secrets card) allows you to get discounts and collect points on shopping, dining and leisure in Cambridge and the surrounding area. The card is FREE to CSSC members (but not everyone)! You can also upgrade your card to get additional leisure discounts at swimming pools, sports facilities, colleges and punting trips. Gain financial assistance for CSSC activities
Bury St. Edmunds Area Association is keen to support all members of the area with financial assistance in CSSC activities. If you are participating in any Civil Service events or activities, let the committee know and they will consider giving you a grant to assist with any costs.

Individual Race Subsidies
To encourage all our members to put on their running shoes in the New Year, we will refund all members 50% of their entry fees up to a maximum of £20 per event for all affiliated races up to a half marathon distance.
We hope this will encourage you to enter local charity running events.
