A. Introduction
Suffolk Area Association of the CSSC (SAA) seeks to encourage our members to enjoy the wide range of CSSC activities. To assist this aim, we have set out some basic principles for claiming financial assistance.
This policy will be reviewed at our Annual General Meeting next year.
B. General Rules
SAA will consider claims for expenses from people who:
a) Work within the Suffolk Area Association boundary and
b) Are CSSC members at the time of the event(s)*
Financial assistance will be considered for those attending:
a) Regional qualifying competitions hosted by Eastern CSSC
b) 'Open' CSSC competitions - nationwide
c) Other social and/or non-competitive events organised on a Regional basis
SAA will reimburse reasonable travelling and subsistence costs of SAA Committee members when attending -
a. Local AA monthly meetings
b. Regional Council Meetings
c. National Conference
d. Regional Workshops
SAA will cover reasonable travelling costs incurred by an event organiser.
C. Claims guidance
Members must approach the SAA Committee before attending events to check whether they are eligible to claim a subsidy. Arrangements for the event, plus means of travel, should be discussed and agreed in advance.
Applicants must make every effort to ensure that their travel and accommodation arrangements are cost-effective, in the same way that they would for business travel.
