Visit the Historic City of Ieper, Belgium
4-6 September 2009.

Great news...... we have agreed to reduce the price of the Yper trip in September to all CSSC members to £160.00. Guest remain the same price of £200. The closing date is 30 April by which time all deposits must be in to register bookings (this is a stipulation of the hotel management and as such is out of our control).
Although an element of the trip is an opportunity to attend a fully guided tour of the battlefields and learn a bit more about events which took place so many years ago..... as the saying goes..... you can do as much or as little as you wish depending on your interests.
Please take the opportunity to review our tour. Yper is a pretty Belgium town and September is ideal time of year to visit with warm evenings to sit outside enjoying a bottle or two of wine with an evening meal. Full payment would not be due until 9 weeks before departure. I will be your representative for the entire trip with the backing of 2 well informed military guides who have visited the area and provided tours on many occasions.

Friday 4 September
Depart from Bury St Edmunds and arrive Channel Tunnel Terminal
Depart from Folkestone and arrive Calais
Depart Calais, arrive at hotel in Ieper
Attend the Menin Gate Ceremony
Dinner in hotel

Saturday 5 September
Depart hotel for full day excursion to the Battlefields and Museums, or
leisurely stroll around the ancient town walls and explore the cobbled streets.
Return to hotel
Free Time in the evening in Ieper

Sunday 6 September
Depart hotel
Free time in Ieper (Visit Cloth Hall, WW1 Museum, Chocolate Shops, etc)
Depart for Duty Free Shopping & Wine Tasting
Arrive at Channel Tunnel Terminal
Depart Calais and arrive Folkestone
Depart Folkestone and arrive Bury St Edmunds

Meals (other than those stated)
