Event Description Bure Valley Railway Path Walk & Ride – Sunday 29 May 2011
Enjoy a walk through the picturesque Bure Valley following the route of the former Great Eastern Railway, which is now the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway running for 9 miles between the historic market town of Aylsham and Wroxham.
Our walk will cover the full 9 mile route starting in Aylsham, although there will be opportunity for those of us that cannot quite stretch their legs that far to join the walk from either Buxton or Coltishall as we head on to the finish at Hoveton and Wroxham Station. Once there we will have the opportunity to grab a well-earned drink and bite to eat before making a relaxed return journey by train to our original starting point in Aylsham.
Members and their guests are welcome to participate in the walk for which free parking is widely available at Aylsham Station. There are also very small car parks at Buxton and Coltishall.
Timings for the walk start and pick-up times for anyone joining us at either Buxton or Coltishall will be given closer to the walk date.
The costs for the single fare on the Bure Valley Railway to return to your starting point are:
Members: £5
Non-members: £8
Children over 5: £5 Children under 5: Free
