Richard's service to CSSC began in 2004 when he became Secretary of the Huntingdon Area Association and went on to become Chairman. Richard was relocated to Abbey Wood, Bristol in July 2010.
Huntingdon Area had been quite active but in the relatively short period since Richard became involved Huntingdon has expanded the range of activities and its membership significantly. Richard has been a major factor in making Huntingdon a thriving and highly successful Area Association. He has organized numerous events over the years from theatre visits to trips abroad.
Using his IT skills Richard has developed the Huntingdon Area Web site, a members' distribution system and a software package which automates many of the processes associated with the organisation of events.
Richard has been a member of the Eastern Regional CSSC Council since 2004, attending and making meaningful contributions to Council meetings and workshops. Since 2005 he has been organising the Regional Ten Pin Bowling tournament with considerable skill and efficiency.
Richard has made a valuable, voluntary contribution to CSSC throughout this time and was awarded the Certificate of Recognition by CSSC.
