CSSC Member Darren Taylor Wins for the Eastern Region!

Darren Taylor from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex did well finishing in the top thirty of CSSC Sports and Leisure's National Fantasy Football League and that performance was enough to place him at the top of the Eastern Region League and secure him the Region's £100 prize!

Phil - Well done and congratulations Darren, where do you work?

Darren - I work with HMRC in Alexander House Southend

Phil - Was this your first attempt at CSSC fantasy league?

Darren - I entered once previously. Came nowhere.

Phil - Do you take part in any other Fantasy Leagues and how did you do?

Darren - Yes. Mainly newspaper based competitions. I have won the odd prize.

Phil - How long have you been a member of CSSC and do you use CSSC for any other sporting or social activities?

Darren - I have been a member of CSSC for at least 15 years. I have participated in ten pin bowling, football and snooker.

Phil - Are you member of RCSL and what activities do you do with them?

Darren - Yes. I have participated in all the above plus sports day, golf and local/national walks.

Phil - How often have you been monitoring your team in the CSSC Fantasy League, what are your tactics, how did you progress, high points, low points?

Darren - I occasionally checked my team position but it wasn’t until it went close to the lead that I started checking it every week. Basically you need to get lucky with the choice of Captain. I was somewhat fortunate to captain Lescott in the last week when he scored 2 goals and had 2 clean sheets.

Phil - I notice you used your maximum team changes, who was your best selection and who let you down?

Darren - Best selection has to be Lescott, and Van Persie. Worst selection was Onohua (Sunderland). Got injured and then when returned he shipped a load of goals.

Phil - You were 22nd in the National League some 75 points behind the National Winner, will you be defending your Regional title next year and if so do you think you’re up to challenging for that National title?

Darren - Yes I will enter again and hopefully go 21 places better.
