Two long serving CSSC Eastern members have been recognised for their voluntary service to the Region.
Charles Bowering and Dave Gilchrist picked up a Certificate of Recognition and the Regional Chairman's Award respectively at the Regional Council Meeting in Bury St Edmunds earlier this year.
Both members have helped to promote their favoured activities over the past 5-10 years and have provided an invaluable contribution in the process.
As Chess Organiser for over a decade, Charles revived the event and his enthusiasm, innovation and inimitable style has ensured it has continued to flourish.
Dave, meanwhile, has established Badminton as a popular tournament once again in the Region's sporting calendar.
