There were seven entries, including four locals and players from as far away as Peterborough.
The time limit for each of the games was thirty minutes; fifteen minutes for each player.
It was a closely fought event and the final placings were not decided until the last round.
Kevin Greenacre , from Ipswich , won the 1st prize of £75 in vouchers with a score of 5/6 while Francis Bowers, from Peterbrough, and Charles Bowering, from Southend , shared 2nd place on 4.5/6 and received £15 each in vouchers.
