RYA Start Yachting Course 24th September 18:00 to 26th September 18:00

The East Coast Yacht Division is offering a Start Yachting course on its excellent and fully equipped 38 foot yacht Freyja from Shotley Marina across the river from Harwich.

This is a little more formal than a Taster Sail as it is under the coaching of an RYA Cruising Instructor. Stay on board for 2 nights and 2 days and learn the basics of sailing and seamanship. By the end of the course you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and safety on board. You will also receive a Certificate of completion.

Safety equipment is provided but people should come with suitable weatherproof clothing and foot wear. Full joining instructions and directions to Shotley Marina will be sent a few weeks before you sail.

The cost is £145.00(CSSC members*) £130(CSSC membership plus members) inclusive of food on board marina fees and fuel. Any pub meals and alcoholic drinks are not included.
