Event Description The East Coast Yacht Division is offering taster day sails on its excellent and fully equipped 38 foot yacht Freyja from Shotley Marina across the river from Harwich.
The taster days are on Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September 2009 and each day starts at 09.00 until approximately 18.00.
This is an opportunity to experience sailing in the sheltered waters of the beautiful East Coast Rivers and the interesting areas around Felixstowe and Harwich. We can take a maximum of six people per day sail in addition to the capable and qualified club skipper and mate. For those with a long journey, it would be possible to stay on board the night before the sail and there is also an option to stay on board Saturday night if people wish to sail on both days. The final arrangements will depend on the response and the limit of 4 berths available for overnight guests.
Safety equipment is provided but people should come with suitable weatherproof clothing and foot wear. Full joining instructions and directions to Shotley Marina will be sent a few weeks before you sail.
The cost is £35 per head per day inclusive of on board food and fuel. Any pub meals and drinks are not included.
