| The 2008 Yorkshire conference was held on Friday & Saturday 14/15 November at the Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford. There was a full agenda including Recruitment, Risk Assessment & Insurance, Supporting Volunteers and Feedback from the recent Regional Officers Conference. A highlight however was the presentation of awards to regional organisers. The Chairman, Mervyn Stanley, couldnt stress enough how the contribution of volunteers is valued by everyone, not least the members who take part in our programme of events. Mervyn was joined by Marian Holmes, CSSC's Chief Executive in presenting awards to the following: Certificates of Recognition Ihor Lewyk and Rob Porter Chairmans Award Ihor Lewyk and Richard Kellett Area Association of the Year South Yorkshire Sportsperson of the Year John Woods Pictured here is Ihor Lewyk receiving his Certificate from Marian. |
