National Darts Finals Results

This popular National Final was held as part of the Tri Finals with Snooker and Tenpin Bowling.

This year, the event returned to the popular Stoke on Trent venue.

The results of the competitions were as follows:

Ladies' Singles
Winner - Katie Ellis from North East who beat Bev Battle from Southern Region 3-2 in the Final (Katie didn't let the pressure faze her as she scored 180 in the last leg).
Ladies' Pairs
Winners - Trudi Newbold and Alison Barry from South East region who beat Cathy Chappell and Delyth Harvard from Wales 2-0. (The South East Ladies were attending the event for the first time.)
Men's Singles
Winner - Alan Henderson from Northern Ireland who beat Malcolm Emmanuel from Wales 3-2 in a nail biting climax to the competition.
Men's Team
Winners South West - John Goves, Malcolm Johns and Glyn Wells who beat the Southern Region, Dale Grove, Dave Cross and Dave Cross 2-0.

The Jack North Memorial trophy was awarded at the end of the friendly mixed pairs competition on Friday night to Malcolm Johns and Carrie Hunt. The Crib singles tournament also played on the Friday evening was won by Lee Mitchell.

It is hoped to return to this venue again in 2010 on 19-20 September.
