Regional Snooker Event

Despite a small entry all enjoyed the day!

Although we only had a select group of players for the snooker competition, it did not detract from the enjoyment of the event. It was played in a round-robin format, each match consisting of 3 frames each. The order of matches were drawn out of a hat, with 1 point awarded to each frame won. As it happened, the top 2 players, (Peter Walker & Shane Start) on equal points played the final match which would decide the overall winner.

The first 2 frames were shared. The last frame was a cagey affair which went down to a black ball game. After a bout of safety, Shane attempted a reverse double with an element of safety and it went in a corner pocket to win on the black by 6 points.
