North West 5M Road Race
| On Tuesday 8 July, Lytham St Annes played host to this years North West 5 mile Road Race. The overall men's winner was Keith Middleman (Daresbury Labs) in a time of 29.35, closely followed by Paul Target (HASSRA NW) in 30.05. Caroline Betmead (Hesketh House) was the ladies winner in a time of 30.56 with Bev Wright (Hesketh House) in second with a time of 32.03.
