Terry Does a Taylor

There was plenty of drama as Terry Greenough and Alan Bambridge produced an epic battle at the CSSC Eastern Regional Snooker Qualifiers.

You normally only ever hear the term 're-spotted black' when the pro's take to the baize, but this was an exception to the rule.

Following four close frames which saw the finalists level-pegging at 2 apiece, it was down to a nail biting finish in the decider and indeed, a re-spotted black.

Greenough was the victor on this occasion and goes onto represent his Region at the National Finals in 2008.

Brian Crumley, Tournament Organiser, said. "This was probably the closest final I've seen in the ten years that I've been organising the competition."

In the Plate Competition Trevor Armstrong (pictured, bottom), known as the Silver Fox, beat his opponent Ian Foster 2-0.
