CSSC Games 2007, Netball Review
| As ever, the entry included teams with bags of experience, alongside more novice teams and players. To cater for the differences, the event was split into three separate competitions; Cup, Plate and Vase. In the main Cup competition, several of the usual suspects were present, but no-one could wrestle the overall title from the Land Registry team, winners also in 2005. For the Plate competition, four teams from the 'big three' Departmental Associations (DSRA, HASSRA and RCSL) tussled for the top slot with HASSRA South East managing to keep RCSL Rocks at bay. In the Vase event, several of the teams were playing competitively for the first time; not that this in any way dampened their enjoyment. From these seven teams, it was the London Beamers A team that finished top of the pile. For the final standings, see the link to the right of this page. Watch out for details of the 2008 CSSC Netball Festival and don't forget to pencil in Loughborough for the next CSSC Games extravaganza in 2009. New teams are always welcome and whether it's a group of members from work, from your Region, your Area Association or just a random team of members you manage to gather together, do get involved. |
