Why not join the likes of Eddie Izzard, Fearne Cotton and Jenson Button and spring into action this March with Sport Relief?
Sport Relief 2010 has finally arrived and we're now racing towards the Sport Relief Weekend, which kicks off on Friday 19 March. Across the UK, those at home, in schools and at work are getting together for some fundraising fun. From sponsored swims to money-making raffles, imaginations will be running wild to make sure money is raised to help change the lives of those less fortunate in both the UK and across the world.
Here at CSSC, we'd be delighted to hear more about what our members have planned for Sport Relief. What are you doing at home, or at work? We're not expecting members to swim across the English Channel like David Walliams or run a marathon a day, as Eddie Izzard did, but perhaps you're being sponsored to cycle between two famous local landmarks? If you're not quite as energetic as that however, perhaps you'll be raising money by taking on the kids in a super Wii competition? Whatever suits you, get prepared and raise that much-needed money! We'd love to publish members' stories so, if you have an interesting fundraising tale, please email Laura Murphy at laura.murphy@cssc.co.uk
Sunday 21 March, the final day of Sport Relief, will see hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets to run The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile. If you'd like to take part, or would like more information about other things you can do to raise cash, visit the Sport Relief website here.
Lastly, don't forget to tune in to the special night of Sport Relief TV on BBC1 on Friday 19 March. It's going to be jam-packed with fun and information about what your funds will do to help change lives.
