These Feet Are Made For Walking!

The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship (The CSRF) announces the launch of a Fellowship sponsored walk (9 April 2011) to raise funds.

To mark The CSRF’s Fellowship Day on April 9 a team of walkers from Fellowship Office will be taking part in a 10 mile Thames Walk from Greenwich to Whitehall to raise funds for the charity.
Fellowship Day recognises the day that The CSRF officially began on 9 April 1968. It is celebrated annually by many of groups across the country with many holding special events and lunches to honour the occasion.

The Walk is one of a number of fundraising initiatives that The CSRF will be holding this year to raise funds to maintain and expand the existing range of services they provide for retired civil servants and their partners.

Chief Executive Jean Cooper (who is participating in the Walk) is looking forward to the challenge, “The sponsored walk provides a great opportunity to promote our core values of friendship and support whilst at the same time raising vital funds for our ongoing work. I hope that we are able to attract sponsorship from as many Civil Servants (working AND retired) as possible. Your contributions can really make a difference.”

Sponsorship forms are available on request from Fellowship Office.
