CSSC Member, Lin Wellington, needs your help! Lin is encouraging people to nominate her daughter as an Olympic torch bearer to run through Norfolk in 2012
Lin says:
Chrissie was born and brought up in Feltwell Norfolk and attended the local schools. People have suggested that she should be nominated to run the Olympic torch through this part of the route in Norfolk.
Chrissie is three times World Ironman Champion and has also beaten her own world Ironman record in this sport. She was awarded the MBE in December 2010 by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Chrissie has competed in 11 Ironman races to date and has won all 11 races.
Chrissie has a passion for development and sport and was involved in the setting up of an organisation called GOTRIbal www.gotribalnow.com/, which is an organisation created to empower and connect women throughout the world through the journey of endurance sport. She is also very passionate about setting an example to other athletes throughout the world by publishing all her drug tests on her website www.chrissiewellington.org.
Chrissie also gives lectures throughout the world to promote sport and development.
