Mother's Day Challenge

CSSC and HASSRA member Caroline Townsend is taking to the track on Sunday 14 March 2010, in an effort to raise awareness about Diabetes.

Caroline is hoping to raise £1,000 for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation by running the world's first Kilomathon (26.2 Kilometers/16.3 miles) from Nottingham to Derby.

This is a particularly great challenge for Caroline as it was not until March 2009, at the age of 50, that she started running, as her granddaughter, Lily, was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes at the age of 21 months.
