Claire House Children’s Hospice
CSSC Member, Chris Stores, and colleague, James Carroll, are taking part in a number of events to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice
Chris says "A colleague and I who work in Asylum in the North West have decided to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice. This started last year when we completed an abseil to raise money for the them, from there we have decided to take part in a number of charity events this year to raise more money for Claire House. We liked the idea of raising money for a local charity (based in Wirral) that supports terminally ill children and their families through exceptionally difficult circumstances.
Earlier in the year we (myself and James Carroll) completed the Llandudno 10 mile run, this was followed a month later by completing the national 3 peaks challenge (Ben Nevis, Sca Fell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours) – we completed this in just over 22 hours. This weekend we are taking part in a 54 mile bike ride that takes us from Liverpool to Chester and back to Liverpool again. Then in October we are hoping to complete our first ever marathon - the Chester Marathon.
As you can see we have set ourselves quite a challenge – we are hoping to raise over £500 and so far we are up to £410, the link for our just giving page is www.justgiving.com/James-Carroll4 and the link to Claire House is http://www.claire-house.org.uk/"
