Olympic Hopes For CSSC Member
CSSC member Hatti Dean is currently our most inspiring athlete! She has had a very successful time lately and we are pinning our Olympic hopes on her!
Hatti’s main event is the 3,000m steeplechase and in the 2010 European Championships (which she says she was lucky to qualify for!) she came 4th, shaving 8 seconds off her personal best time! During the 2010/2011 winter season she took part in a crosscountry event in Spain and finished 21st in the world.
Her next aim is to compete in the World Track Championships in South Korea in August in the steeplechase, and this time she’s aiming for a place in the final. Of course, she’s got her eyes on competing at the Olympics – maybe even winning a medal for Team GB! Trials aren’t until July 2012 – and of course, we’ll keep you posted!
CSSC is looking to assist Hatti who has said, “It is reassuring to know CSSC is able to provide tangible support to my development as an athlete. CSSC’s support will help me to benefit from world class coaching and training, which has made all the difference to my performance this year.”
If any of you know of any other members who are hoping to compete at the Olympics, please ask them to get in touch so we can follow their experience! (Email louisa.richards@cssc.co.uk) |
