Russian language classes continue after half-term at the Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith Street, Westminster SW1P 3BU

The Abbey Centre is a vibrant welcoming place where you can join in educational, cultural and well being activities and meet new friends. It is ideally located for those in, around or within reach of Whitehall.

The Russian language classes are scheduled as follows:

Tuesday 21 February
2nd term beginners, using Ruslan Russian 1
Time: 5.45pm

Post-beginners, using Ruslan 2 and Colloquial Russian.
Time: 7.30pm

Thursday 23 February
1st term beginners, using Ruslan Russian 1
Time: 5.45pm

Advanced, using original materials.
Time: 7.30pm

Cost: £60 for the six week half term block of classes.

Cost of a single (trial) class is £15.

Payment is on arrival on the night in cash or by cheque made out to the Whitehall Russian Society.

Those attending the classes also meet socially at a variety of Russian language and cultural events, including the programme of the Society for Co-operation in Russian and Soviet Studies, 320 Brixton Road, London SW9 6AB: www.scrss.org.uk

There is an annual dinner and dance Christmas party with genuine Eastern European cuisine, live music, dancing and a fully costumed performance of Russian folk dancing.

There was a fantastic Russian winter trip to St Petersburg and Novgorod in 2011 and there will be another this year.
