Event Description

The Tuesday Russian language classes are continuing at the Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith Street, Westminster SW1P 3BU on Tuesday 20 September as follows:

Ruslan Russian 1, New Beginners at 5.45pm www.ruslan.co.uk

Ruslan 2, Post-Beginners at 7.30pm www.ruslan.co.uk and Colloquial Russian. Those attending this class will have usually already completed Ruslan 1 or an equivalent
level text.

Cost: £60 for the six week half term block of classes from 20 September to 25 October inclusive.

Cost of a single (trial) class is £15.

Payment is on arrival on the night in cash or by cheque made out to the Whitehall Russian Society.

Intermediate and advanced classes are scheduled to start on Thursday 22 September.

Those attending the classes also meet socially at a variety of Russian language and cultural events, including the programme of the Society for Co-operation in Russian and Soviet Studies, 320 Brixton Road, London SW9 6AB: www.scrss.org.uk

There is an annual dinner and dance Christmas party with genuine Eastern European cuisine, live music, dancing and a fully costumed performance of Russian folk dancing. There are also thoughts of a group trip to Russia.
