Previous Manchester 100 participant and current organiser, Mike Nicholson, recaps his past experiences of the ride – See below.

“My experiences of participating in the Manchester 100 have been fantastic! It is such an amazing sense of achievement when completing the ride, especially because I had my doubts on whether or not I could do it.

There is a great feeling of togetherness between you and the other riders.

Especially, when I lost the group I had entered the ride with, albeit for a short time, I always found there was someone to chat to or even just cycle with - you're never alone.

It was my experience that when stopping to refuel or having your lunch at the 'pit stops' along the way, you get a chance to speak with and acquaint yourself with other riders. Which many times resulted in a chat about the cycle clubs in one another’s areas, which opened up many different avenues for cycling participation.”
