Event Description London “Diamond Jubilee” Weekend

Central and East Lancs CSSC are arranging an amazing weekend away in London for you to enjoy over the Jubilee Weekend. Hopefully something for you to look forward to or even make a good Xmas present for someone!
So what is the deal?

Children £99 (one child under 11 sharing with 2 adults)
single supplement £86 (extremely limited)
* members will only be able to purchase 1 place at the member rate. Any others will be charged at full price, so why not encourage your friends and family to join CSSC.
The price includes:
• Luxury coach travel with air-conditioning and toilet
• Two nights bed and English breakfast sharing twin/double room

Our hotel, 4* Mercure London City Bankside is situated close to the Tate Modern and the South Bank. All rooms are en-suite with satellite, TV, hairdryer, safe, iron and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a restaurant and bar, a lift to all floors and a gym.
Sunday
We depart around 7.30am and travel by luxury coach, arriving around 1pm in plenty of time to see the flotilla of hundreds of boats traveling along the Thames led by the Queen in the Royal Barge(expected to take place between 3-5pm). Other highlights of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant include music barges, boats spouting geysers, pyrotechnic barges, a floating belfry and
boats used by the armed forces and emergency services, as well as historic boats, wooden launches and steam vessels. There will be up to fifty big screens along the route. We expect to
check-in to our hotel around 5pm.
Monday (Bank Holiday)
Today is at leisure or join us for a visit to Windsor with its castle (the oldest and largest occupied
castle in the world), open-top buses, river trips, riverside walks, museums and plenty of shops, pubs and cafes.
This evening there will be a free BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace (tickets by ballot will be
available to UK residents – details yet to be announced).
As usual, we will be offering discounted tickets to an evening show in the West End (subject to
availability including coach transfers (details to follow).
Tuesday (Bank Holiday)
After checking-out at 10am we load the coach and then the day is free. There will be a service at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by a formal carriage Procession by The Queen (times to be
announced). We will depart from our hotel at 3.30pm and, with a services stop en route, expect to be back in Preston around 9pm.
